Bryan actually had part of the day off today, so we really tried to make the most of it. After he went to work to make a delivery he came home and took Emery and Kelci out for a little bowling. They had a great time, I think they like to bowl with the Wii better, but they still came home happy with there scores. Bryan even confessed to a couple of bumper balls as-well...what a good dad. After the little ones took a nap we made a trip over to our new city aquatic center. We are there a lot during the week because Emery is still swimming with the swim club and even Bryan has been getting in and doing some laps when he can, but we have not had a chance to let the kids play on the cool water playground or anything like that. All of the kids had a great time. Emery of course was all over the place in the water, taking the little ones up on the slides and getting them where they needed to be, she even braved the big water slide and loved that. Kelci has been a little slower adjusting to the water this year. This isn't really a big surprise, she is very stubborn and for most of her toddler hood, hated, I mean really hated to be in water. So I have been slow and steady about swimming with her. She doesn't like the idea of mommy teaching her to swim, so because of this I make her wear a life jacket all of the time. Today I didn't make her wear one, mostly because there are lifeguards there and the water is sooooo shallow, it's almost like a beach. I was really pleased to see her go down the slides and really get into having fun, usually she hangs back and just watches, so this was great for her. Cambree just looooooved the slide, we couldn't keep her off. At one point we walked over to another area to watch Emery go down the big slide and she was so upset. She is so expressive right now when she tells me stories and of course after swimming she had to recap everything she just did. Brody was a trooper, poor little man, even thought it was about 90 degrees out, he was just shivering like crazy. He put up with Emery's many trips down the slide holding him, but of course he kept his mouth open and got a mouthful of water every time. After awhile though he was just scooting around on his bottom in the shallow area and enjoying watching all the kids. We had a great time, can't wait to do it again, unfortunately I think I'm going to have to wait until I have Bryan or someone else there to help, because it was hard to watch Cambree and Brody at the same time.

that just sounds fun, we will have to do that again when we come up again.
Great fun! What an adventure! Congrats to Bryan for doing laps! Woo Hoo!
I wouldn't bring my kids swimming without Damon either. We went to the library tonight, and I was rehearsing to him while all three kids were each a good 10 feet away from each other why I hardly go anywhere with them alone -unless I have a shopping cart to stuff one of them in.
Sounds like a fun day with Bryan home. I think we will be in the water a lot this summer as well, as it is very hot in the summer here in Arizona!
It does get hard to go places with multiple kids. I only have two and I am sure I will have my hands full when I have a third.
