Visitors

What a fun week we just had. Angela, Jeremy, Kya and Lucy came to visit all the way from Hawaii. It was a little crazy having 11 of us in a house at once, but it all worked out. We spent a lot of time relaxing together and letting the kids just play and enjoy one another. For Memorial day we decided to have a little BBQ and throw in a little birthday celebration since we were together. Mom, Stacey, Keianna and Jenae came up to join in the fun.

Mema always has some fun little project for the kids to make, we love it.

Jeremy was so cute, he wanted to make Ang some carrot cake muffins for her birthday. So he had a recipe from a friend sent to his e-mail, went out and bought all the other ingredients that I didn't have and did a great job baking the muffins. It was very sweet.

Mom wanted us to take the opportunity and get a picture with all of her grandkids together. This is so hard to and of course like usual, my boys are not cooperating for this picture.

This one was a little better, but of course we lost Landry completely. I'm not sure what Lucy was doing, but at least she was looking the right direction.

The kids had a lot of fun with eachother, Cambree did not want Lucy to leave. The whole time they were here, Cambree was constantly looking for her and wanted to be with her, it was sweet.

Golf Academy

As if the month of May isn't busy enough with a lot of end of the year events at school. Emery and Kelci really wanted to go to this little golf class. There is a little academy here in town that offers free lessons for one week each month. The girls were so excited to have this opportunity, especially because it is something that Daddy loves to do.

Emery's good friend Trevor also went to the class.

Kelci was so excited, she won the putting contest for her age group. She received a free meal certificate from In-n-Out Burger. Way to go Kelci!

Bryan surprised the kids one with a new putter and driver. Brody loved playing with the putter of course. I just have to make sure I hide it at home, he is a little crazy with it at times.

Landry is 2 months old...really??

I can't believe this little guy is 2months old now. Time sure sped up since he was been born. We feel so blessed to have this little in our family. He is the happiest baby most of the time, and I say that because there are times where he has to cry for longer than probably any of the other babies ever cried just because I can't always get to him right away. But when you can finally settle him down and you look at his sweet face, he will almost always flash this adorable little grin, as if to say, I knew you would come! He is learning to suck on his hand, which is not really the best new trick he does. Most of the time he gets frustrated if he can't get it just right. I can't decide if he loves to cuddle on your shoulder, or if he just has weak neck muscles...he he. This is something we are working on, because he does seem a little wobbly with his head and neck still. I'm really trying to cherish these last baby moments we have in our family, they go so quickly, and before you know it you are off and running and you are left chasing.

Monday Night??

Every Monday we make a solid attempt to have Family Home Evening, we are not perfect, some weeks we miss, but most of time we squeeze something in. Lately Bryan has been watching a lot of basketball with the playoffs on and everything. So I thought it would be fun to try this activity with the kids and Daddy. It was basically a basketball trivia. We would ask a question (church related), if you got it right your team received 2 points. Than you had a chance to shoot for more points, choosing to shoot from the 2pt,4pt, or 6pt. line which was marked by masking tape on the floor. It turned out to be a lot of fun, and I think the kids even learned a couple of things.

Mothers Day!

I always like to take a picture every mother's day with all the kids. I wish my scanner worked so I could share my first picture with Emery, seems like yesterday really. Of course it is never easy to get a group picture of everyone, especially after you have been grooming everyone for an hour trying to get ready for church. I love how it's just the boys who are losing it in the picture, but hey we got a picture right?

Before

After

I actually had to go to Urgent Care right after we arrived at church, because I suspected I had a urinary tract infection. This was so disappointing to me, because exactly a week before I went to Urgent Care for strep throat. I joked with the nurse about things happening in 3's. I told her I would probably be back with pink eye or something next week. But as I am typing this I have a sinus infection now...seriously I think Landry is sucking all the immunities out of me, if that is even possible.

Bryan had to go to work right after church, great for all the moms that work at Costa Vida that got the day off, not so great for me. So I decided you know what I don't want to sit at home all day and feel yucky, so I packed up the kiddos headed down to my mom's house for Mother's Day. I wasn't originally planning to go anywhere, especially when it is a school night, but you know I just needed to be with people. We enjoyed a nice steak dinner my dad cooked for us and the kids had fun learning to play crochet with Pepa. We were sad we didn't have time to make a stop over at Bryan's parents, but we did see them the night before when they came to have dinner with us in Yuba City.

I'm thankful to have such a great mommy, and I feel even more grateful to have such a wonderful mother-in-law. Both of these ladies encourage me to be a great mom, and are great examples to me. My mom probably deserves some kind of award for having to put up with all my phone calls every morning, to update her on all my fustrations. She's such a good lady for still answering the phone.

Front Pack

I finally pulled out the baby carrier and packed Landry around for awhile one morning. So I thought I would snap some pictures of him in it....

Look I caught one of his adorable smiles.

Nice, here comes breakfast, gotta work on that Landry...it probably won't impress the ladies.

I'm sure he is thinking when are we getting out of this thing!
Thank goodness for baby carriers, it almost helps us moms feel like we can be an octopus and do several things at one time.

May showers bring May flowers??

Ok, so here we are the beginning of May and it is raining like crazy! I'm not complaining, I love the rain, especially when the grass and everything around is so green, it feels refreshing to me. We had a quiet weekend at home. I decided to go to the grocery store Saturday morning, which was a mistake I think. First I was feeling pretty yucky (which turned out to be strep throat), second everyone in Yuba City that got paid on the 1st was at the store, and 3rd it was raining (I hate going shopping in the rain for some reason). When I got home I decided to help the girls make these little umbrellas I had recently seen online. I think they turned out cute. It's nice for Cambree to do these kinds of projects with her sisters around, she learns so much from them. I hope next weekend it doesn't rain because I'm planning a garage sale and I need to get the garden going soon, let's keep our fingers crossed.
