For their spring break, Mema an the girls came to visit for a week. We tried to think of some fun things to do while they were here. One night we thought it would be fun to go into the canyon and have a campfire and roast marshmellows. It was a little difficult because the ground in the canyon was much more wet than at our house and it was just cooler, like 45 degrees. We were having trouble starting the fire, but than mema came along and blew some air into the twigs and all of a sudden we had FIRE! We all laughed and called her the fire queen.
While they were here it was Keianna's birthday, she had a special request to make a walrus cake. I thought it was going to be crazy difficult when Mema told me, but we were able to come up with a fun creation. Keianna has grown up so much, she is a beautiful 17yearold teenager now. It was has fun to watch her grow up, and it was fun to share her birthday with her.
One day we decided to make a day trip to Antelope Island in Salt Lake. We have never been there and alot of people say it is kind of cool place to visit. The views of the Lake weren't very good, but we did see some Bison roaming the island. We learned a few things about the Great Salt Lake, it is actually one of the dirtiest water areas around. On the way home we had some trouble. About 30minutes into the ride, Bry called me and told me that he had been trying to get a hole of me for a little while. Apparently his tire on the mini blew by Bountiful. Everybody was fine, but he had to wait for a tow truck to take him to Les Schwaab to get some new tires, luckily they stayed open for him. We were so grateful everyone was ok.
It was a lot of fun having company, so glad they came to visit.

Landrys turns 5!
Landry turned 5, still can't believe it. He was so excited to have his first friend party. He invited all of the little boys from his preschool class. He still loves cars so we had a cars themed party with races and everything. It's hard to believe this is my baby all grown up. He makes us laugh all the time and keeps the innocent in everything. Happy Birthday Landry!

Taking on the "Y" without water....
I was reading facebook one day and noticed that one of our old neighbors from Yuba City was in Provo for a Dive competition. It was Rylan Little and his dad Bill was with him. I got his phone number from Jessica (Bills wife) and thought it would be fun to catch up with them and cheer Rylan on at BYU. So we met them at the pool and Bill started talking about wanting to hike the Y Mountain after the game. He asked if we would like to join them and I thought that might be kind of fun. So I called Bryan up and told him to bring some water and meet us in Provo. It was actually a rather warm spring day for Utah and we weren't really dressed the way we should be. But we headed up the trail, some speedy and determined and others slow and steady. It took us about an hour and half both ways. The hardest part about the whole hike was that we didn't have any water to drink. Bryan accidentally left the water at home. It became an inside joke later that we shouldn't climb mountains without water and we should dress in appropriate clothing for hiking.
Rylan and Emery have known eachother since they were 4 years old and it was fun to see him all grown up and doing so well in diving. We had a great time visiting with him and Bill. And even though it was a difficult hike I'm glad we can say we did it. (Just don't ask some of the kids) LOL.

The Flood!
A lot of homes in the neighborhood have experienced flooding, but mostly because of too much rain in a short amount of time. We always worried about it, but felt pretty good about our house because we had two sump pumps. One night Cambree told me that there was a wet spot on the carpet by her closet. So I checked it out and sure enough something was leaking and causing a big mess in her room. A plumber came and found a leaking pipe behind the water heater. So he fixed it and we proceeded with cleaning up the mess in Cambrees room.
A couple of days after we got that leak fixed, Bryan was home working in the kitchen and heard some water running. He went downstairs into the basement and found water everywhere.....the family room, bathroom, the girls rooms, the storage room, water everywhere. He quickly started to move furniture around and tried to get as much as he could upstairs. Apparently the water heater blew open and nearly 40 gallons of water poured out. What a mess!! Thankfully we had a wonderful landlord that didn't waste any time and found some people to come and start the clean-up process, which we found out was going to take way too long. And for about 4 weeks we lived in mess haha. Made life interesting, cutting our living space in half.
