Happy Father's Day!

The girls were so excited to get up this morning and make breakfast for Daddy. Cambree woke up around 7:00am and has a hard time waiting to have breakfast in the morning...note the sad pictures above. Emery and Kelci woke up about 7:30 and were ready to go in the kitchen. I told them that Daddy would probably like to sleep until about 8:00, so we waited a little bit to start the breakfast.

Emery worked on wrapping Daddy's present, a photo neck-tie featuring....who else...me...ok no it was the kids. The Nintendo Wii was the other part of his present that we already bought a few weeks back.

Kelci was incharge of making pancakes. It was her first time and she was so excited. After we poured the first four pancakes thought she disappeared and moved on to something...totally Kelci.

The kids made nice cards for Daddy and really enjoyed having a "real" breakfast with everyone this morning. We love our Daddy. He is always working hard to make sure we have the things we need and makes sure we are happy. He is always so laid back and the kids really enjoy this, sometimes more than keeping up with mommy's schedule. They love it when he comes home everyday and look forward to playing and wrestling with him at night. There was a talk given at church today that really struck home for me. Of course the talks were about Fathers, honoring them, honoring our Heavenly Father as-well. But one of the things that was mentioned was the unconditional love children have for their fathers. We know that our Dad's aren't perfect, but little ones don't care about this at all. It really is true. The speaker was reminding us to be more like a child and have that unconditional love for others, especially our parents, fathers, etc. It really is my hope and dream that the kids will always have these feelings for both of us as they get older. For now the both of us will enjoy these special moments as much as possible.

I just wanted to say that you do a great job with the kids, they will have such great memories of events like Fathers Day etc. I have so much to learn.........maybe thats why you have all the kids and I dont :) Mine will remember the boxes of cereal that daddy bought for them jk

What a beautiful post! Love your FHE idea- we'll have to do that one soon. Check on my blog soon- I'll share our recent FHE idea.

Glad to see your kids worked so hard for their Daddy. They are so blessed to have such wonderful parents!
