Lake Tahoe

I'm still trying to figure out why it is so difficult to keep up with my postings, well maybe somethings are not ment to be figured out. I really enjoy having the opportunity to blog, it is nice way to keep family and friends updated as well as keep my sane and allow me some place to vent. Ok, enough about that...we just returned home from Lake Tahoe. I love Lake Tahoe in July, it really is the perfect time to go. The weather here in Yuba stays about high 90's low 100's, so it is a nice escape from that. I think this is our 8th year going up to Tahoe with Bryan's family. Every year Bryan's parents graciously find a condo for everyone to stay at and we kind of find time during the week to make it up for a great time. This year we went up on Wed. morning and were able to make a trip to the beach with everyone there. That was a lot of fun. At first we were a little nervous driving up because we had been having some electrical problems with the van over the last month or so and while we were climbing through the mountains the battery light came on. So we decided it would be a good idea to stop in Truckee and see if we could replace the battery. I was so impressed with Bryan's car skills, he was able to change the battery in no time. I know some of you are probably not all the impressed, but I was because I know he doesn't really like to work on cars at all. The kids were so excited about going, I didn't think we would make it to Wed. without going crazy. Even Cambree kept asking me, "When we go to Tahoe mommy?" So cute because she was even telling strangers where were going, just what you want strangers to know, yes out house will be empty for a couple of days...ok I'm kidding. Here is a picture of everyone at the beach. It was taken at Sand Harbor, and I don't know why but this is one of my most favorite beaches.

The kids had a great time playing together in the water, and we all couldn't believe that even Grandpa got in the water. I don't think I have seen this in years. It is so wonderful to see enjoying all the activities with everyone, he has waited a long time.


Some of the group decided to swim out to a boey...that was fun to watch. We were waiting to see who would need to be pulled by the lifeguard.

Cambree just enjoyed floating in her tube and singing, it was so cute.

Grandma helped Brody find rocks to put in his bucket and he just kept tossing them back into the lake. He thought this was so cool.

Well there is more to blog about, but I'm pretty tired so I will have to continue tomorrow.
