Emery was so excited because tonight was her first swim meet. It wasn't a huge meet, just a dual meet with the swim club from Beale AFB. It's great practice for the kids to help prepare them for the bigger meets. Emery did a great job, I don't believe she was even nervous despite all the people that were there...where does she get that. She swam the 25 yard freestyle and a 25 yard backstroke.
The only part about the meet that was a little challenging was that it took 2 hours...so here is what the other kids did while they waited.

Fun! I have a nephew in SoCal, age 7 who has been on a swim team the past year or so. He is good too. Good to start them young if they are in to it.
First of all, go Emery! That's great. Second, your pics are awesome. We need to get together and go out and shoot some scenery! What do you say?
That is so fun, Amy! I bet you were the proud little mama the whole time. Your camera is taking fantastic pictures. Maybe I'll do like you said and just buy a camera body for my lens. I'll probably have to wait for Christmas though and it will probably be the only thing that I get due to that other thing I just bought!
