While Ang was here, we decided to take a day trip to San Francisco and go to the California Academy of Sciences. We were all pretty excited about going, it's been a long time since I have been to the city. I knew the kids would enjoy this Museum, they have a lot of cool things to see. It was only 58 degrees the day we went, but we weren't complaining because it was in the 90's at home. I forgot how beautiful Golden Gate park was.
We arrived a little later than was had hoped, so some of the exhibits we were not able to see. However the first one we went to was a 3 story rainforest exhibit, it was really neat. There were all kinds of big fish in the water, butterflies, frogs, geckos, etc. They had fish in there that actually eat other fish, weird to me, but ok.
The kids loved the aquarium, especially Brody. He couldn't get enough of the fish and being so close to them. I have to say that I was also so impressed with all the kids, everyone was so well behaved, it was just a nice relaxing time. Even while we were lost. Yes, we were lost in Golden Gate Park looking for our car for an hour. The kids walked for an hour as-well in search of our cars. We kept telling them that they would always remember this experience. Of course we learned to never assume another road will lead where you think you need to be, unless you have been down that road before, especially in the city.
Here we are blowing away on the living roof.

San Fran always brings back bad memories of asbestos removal jobs so have a hard time even thinking about visiting, but I guess there are other things to do there than hard labor.
