What a Daddy!

Last night I decided I needed to escape the house for a little bit and head over to Kmart. I know weird..Kmart...who still shops at Kmart. I can remember being in the 4th grade and it was not cool to shop at Kmart. I would always come up with some other story like, no this outfit is from Sears! Now look Sears owns Kmart...anyways. So the reason I went to Kmart if because they have double coupon weeks occassionally. If you are into clipping and saving coupons, than you know this is a huge deal, most of the time. It does take some concentrating though, so I prefer to go alone.
While I was there I get a phone call from Bryan that Brody's diaper had leaked out some poop. Of course he didn't know this and he stepped in it and took with him all over the house. Bry was asking me what the best way to clean this up. I just thought to myself, glad I'm not there, and than suggested he pull out the carpet cleaner and use that.
About ten minutes later I get another phone call, this time he didn't have to say much because I could hear Landry crying...and it was definately a hunger cry! I left him home thinking he wouldn't need to eat and I didn't want him to take another late night nap because he pretty much slept his whole day away already. With a calm voice Bryan asked me when I was planning to come home, I assured him I was done and would be checking out. I called him back a few minutes later while I was driving home and Bryan told me he went ahead and used some of the breast milk in the freezer to calm the baby down. It actually worked, he drank about an ounce from a bottle...that was great news to me, mostly because this same thing happened with Brody and he refused to drink from a bottle.
When I arrived home, the carpet was cleaned up, two girls were showered and in bed, two sleepy toddlers were also in bed, and Landry was calm. All of this happened in an hour. I am not surprised though, because Bryan is awesome. I have complete faith in him when I leave all the kids with him. Today a lady at the hair salon said to me, "How do you do it with 5 kids?" But it is obvious to me, that I am not doing it alone. You rock babe!
Oh and my shopping trip was a success, I saved $30.00 with coupons. So instead of spending $100.00, I only spent $70.00! I was able to stock up on diapers, laundry soap, deordrant, and lots of other things...I love that feeling of saving.

I think your family is amazing! It's awesome the amount of support you get not only under your own roof, but your extended family as well. If you didn't think you had the support or couldn't make it all work, you wouldn't have had those five wonderful kids!
