I don't know what is with me these days, but I am not content to stay put on the weekends. Especially when the weather is beautiful. The temperature reached 85ish on Saturday, it was just perfect. So we decided to take a drive North up to Chico. I have been needing to get to an Old Navy to help out the post baby wardrobe. We decided to check out the mall there as-well. The plan after that was to take the kids to Bidwell Park for some fun. Well like we always do, we left with no directions and were forced to drive around the town of Chico in search of this infamous park. Bryan would hate that I'm sharing this, but he finally asked for some directions at a gas station, while I took the opportunity to feed Landry. Unfortunately those directions were not good and we ended up downtown next to a plaza that a water fountain structure to play in. We decided to get out and take a break from driving, the kids enjoyed this break.

Take that Brody....oh did I say that, I didn't mean it ;)

Some of us were not as excited about getting into the car for some more driving. But we did end up with some directions that sounded promising, so we went for it. Finally we ended up in the correct place. The park was really nice, and pretty busy. I loved all the trees around the park and throughout Chico really. Trees have a way of making me feel happy for some reason...I wish I had some big trees around our yard and neighborhood!

I'm so glad that the kids really stick together at places like this and help one another. Otherwise that would be me or Bryan trying to squeeze down some of those slides...can you imagine. Emery is always a big help with Brody and doesn't mind one bit chasing him around. I love her movie star sunglasses...always stylin.

Love the photo in your header!! Super fun! Doug and I used to live in Chico, many many millenium ago (it feels like) and I love Bidwell Park! Glad you found it cause it is absolutely gorgeous as you trek in further. Glad you guys had fun!
Thats funny I would have had the same thought if water shot up in my kids face too jk.
Cambree should be a model, she is sooooo photo genic sp? Did you see that Good Morning America where the lady said she doesn't need men, just give her a building. She would walk around and kiss buildings....hopefully you weren't kissing trees;)Im glad you had a good get away excursion. Oh and tell Sharpei I said hello.....I mean Emery.
You should have called me... we used to live within walking distance from the park! Your husband wouldn't have had to break the rule (asking for directions).
We are going to bidwell soon, it looks beautiful, good pics!
