Monterey Trip

One of the hardest things about moving to Utah is leaving our family in California.  I have been waiting along time for Ang and the family to come back to Cali for a little while and now I am leaving.  So in Feb, shortly after Bryan left for Utah, I decided to pack up the kids for a few days and head down to visit her and the family.  She didn't mind having us despite the fact the movers had just delivered their whole house about a week earlier.  They had done a great job unpacking and getting things arranged already.
Of course while we were there we had to make a trip to the beach...of course it was COLD and WINDY, two of my favorite things.  Ang was really sick the first day we were there and needed to go to the doctor.  So while she was at home resting, Jeremy and I took all the kids out to climb around on the rocks.  Jeremy was so helpful with Landry who wanted to do everything the bigger kids were doing.  My job was to keep up with Brody, who was jammin on the rocks....oh and to take pictures.  I guess I should have been keeping a better on my clumsy child, Cambree, she of course stepped right into the water...opps!

All of the kids wanted to stay out here forever....but look at their hair, it was WINDY.  I can only take so much.  I think I'm getting a little wimpier with age or something.......naaaaaaaaaaa........I have always hated wind, this is from living in Fairfield.

When Ang was feeling better we took the kids to play at the Dennis the Menace park.  It's a lot of fun for the kids, but for parents it is nerve racking.  The park is so huge, it's hard to keep track of everyone.  We established a buddy system to try and help, but of course Brody can't handle being tied down to someone else.  I love this slide picture, they were racing.
Landry loved Collai and Skipper, everyday he had to sit with them on the couch.  They didn't seem to mind.
Rex on the other hand was ready to go home after a couple of days of being barked at by skipper.
The infamous clam picture at the Aquarium, we have one of these pictures from when Cambree was little and Brody was a baby.  I think all the kid fit in the clam in that one....not so much anymore.
We had such a fun time hanging out.  Don't worry we will be back and thanks for always being willing to put all of us up for so many days.  I know it's a lot to ask.
