Stop, Drop, & Roll

Here are some recent shots of our preschool trip to the Firehouse.

The kids were practicing all the important safety steps including, crawling across the floor to avoid smoke, and stop, drop, and roll. The fireman also taught them that when he comes into the house he will yell, "Is anyone in here?" The kids were suppose to respond by yelling, "I'm over here, over here!!" Brody was impressed by all this, he concentrated on the fireman talking the whole time. He was a little concerned when the station received a call in the middle of our tour and our fireman had to suit up and take off. He kept asking me when he is coming back. The good news for Brody was, he did come back and he even got to take a picture with his new hero!

This day we were also celebrating Jaxson's 5th birthday and were planning on going to the park at our time at the firestation. His mom, who was working at the school prepared cupcakes for all the kids. Unfortunately, Jaxsons dad thought it would be nice for Jaxson to offer the firemen a cupcake. Of course they misunderstood him (because he's small and quiet) and thought he was giving them all the cupcakes. So the firemen made off with all the preschool kids cupcakes....haha. This made me laugh and Jaxsons dad was cracking up as-well. I'm sure the firemen enjoyed there treats and Jaxson felt great sharing them.
