This post is going to make me a little sad. My baby, Landry, just turned two years old. Why does time have to do this.....I mean slow down, you don't have to always be in a hurry.
We decided to keep his celebration simple and decided to just have a quiet night at home on his actual birthday. Hopefully nobody was offended by not being invited to a party, but I just wasn't up to having a big party and I know Landry doesn't care. Maybe it all has something to do with my depression about him getting older, or lack of organizational skills and party planning skills....all of it sounded like a good excuse to me to keep it simple.
Lately he has been into a new show on Disney called "The Neverland Pirates." So I decided I would make him a pirate cake. My cake decorating skills are pretty bad, but since we weren't having a large crowd, there were less people to judge haha. No, this pattern was pretty easy to follow, thanks to Betty Crocker. Brody and Cambree had a great time helping me decorate the cake. They kept telling me he looked like Mr. Smead...I think it was the stripes. 
One of his favorite gifts was a little pair of Mickey and Minnie figurines that came with little cars. He looks for these toys everyday and will sit and talk with them for a good amount of time. It is really cute to watch. 
Craig and Chrystina and the boys came up to visit for the day, and it was nice to have them here while we sang Happy Birthday. Brandon and Landry are about 4 months apart in age and we always have fun watching them play together. I wish they could be around eachother more. While Brandon was here he found one of Landrys pacifiers in his crib, he put it in his hand, looked at it, and said as clear as day....."What the heck?" So cute! I love that kid.
