Grateful

We had such a nice, relaxing Sunday yesterday and I'm grateful. This new year is already proving it's self to be busy and fast. But I'm determined to not let it race us over.

I'm so grateful for this beautiful family, who never forgets about us. There oldest son, Brendan turned 12 recently and that is a big deal to a lot of people around him. He is now a deacon in our church and rightfully deserves to be, he is awesome! We are so grateful we could be included in his special day (even if it was partly for kitchen help...I will do anything for a social life, haha kidding Shannon, love ya)

Shannons parents live in a lovely little spot tucked into the Vacaville hills, the weather was perfect and the kids had a great time exploring around the property. Shannon's brother, Matthew gave the kids a tour and helped them find some bugs and some bulls to feed. Once the kids got a taste of this place, they all informed me that they would like to live in a place just like this, wouldn't we all, it was nice.

We finished off our day hanging out at Chrystina and Craig's house for pizza and Family Home Evening. The highlight for the kids was the "snowball fight" with crinkled up paper in the house. Chrystina and Grandma both shared thoughts about how to live a Christ centered life and why it is important. When we were done with our snowball fight, all the adults paired off with a child and read what was written on the inside of the crinkled up snowballs. All the snowballs had the words of Christ written on them. It was kind of cool listening throughout the room, all the adults reading different scriptures all at the same time. I'm so bad at expressing these kinds of things, but it was the perfect way to end a great day.

Aww thank AMy. I love this post. We were so thrilled that you made it down. Your family is wonderful. I really wish we could do pre arranged marriages so I wouldn't have to worry about who my son was going to marry and who is in-laws would be. Hee Hee. I also very much appreciated your help in the kitchen and the fact that you didn't post the crazy face picture. Ha Love you guys.
