Ice Skating

Emery and Kelci have always been interested in learning how to ice skate. They share a pair of roller blades and love skating around inside the house and a little outside. I told them the ice skating is a little tricky, but they still wanted to give it a try.
So a couple of weeks ago the kids had a day off from school and thought it would be fun to head to Vacaville to ice skate. When we finally got to Vacaville though, the ice rink was only going to be open for another 45 minutes. So that meant we had to hurry and get our skates on and try it out.

Bryan sat and hung out with the little guys. Cambree was just freezing the whole time and really wasn't interested in trying. Brody was begging to do it, but I didn't really want to worry about him on skates right at the moment. Bryan didn't have a choice, they didn't carry skates his size...bummer for him.

The girls did pretty good. Emery fell about 3 times, but of course she was cracking up about it every time. I think Kelci was a little nervous about the idea of falling, so she only lasted about 20minutes on the skates.

Bryan snapped this lovely picture of me right after my triple luxe!! Ok...maybe not! It was a lot of fun though, next time we will get there earlier and I also want to get my nieces out there as-well. They showed up at the rink to check out all of the action.

LOL! That is a classic picture. Eventhough you can't see your feet, it's obvious what you are doing!
