Growing up, both Bryan and I have had interesting experiences with our jaws and teeth. I can't think of a time I didn't go to the dentist and not hear the dreaded word cavity. Not only that, but at a pretty young age I already experienced my first root canal...right on the front tooth. Both Bryan and I had braces growing up, both needed jaw surgery, although Bryan was the only one that ended up with jaw surgery. I'm just stuck grinding my teeth every night because of it, oh which I passed on Cambree apparently.
So today I took Emery back to the dentist to investigate a baby tooth that doesn't want to budge and an adult tooth eager to make it's way through. Poor Emery, I'm not going to go into the list of work this poor little thing has had to endure...thanks to us. If I told you, you would think we never brush her teeth right? Advice about the stubborn tooth, was she needs to push on it and basically push it out, or they will just pull it. She has one tiny filling to take care of, oh and than they told us she is missing an adult tooth on the bottom....nothing underneath the gum....WHAT??? That is weird! So along with a molar that will come in sideways (we learned this today as-well)...Emery is guaranteed a trip to the orthodontist in the near future. Sorry sweetie.
Like I said in the title, love trumps bad teeth!! I never took into consideration our dental genetics when deciding who my eternal companion would be, neither did Bryan, and you know what I don't care anymore...they are just teeth and can be fixed! Did you know that the "octomom" made sure her donor had excellent teeth? Like that is going to be her biggest challenge right?

Even growing up with a dad who is a dentist, I rarely flossed my teeth, but brushed like crazy! I have to use the softest brush, but I still have bad receding gums. Hopefully I will not have to get it grafted. I hear that is a pain. So far no problem. I was lucky to have now wisdom teeth, but had braces. Never heard of a missing adult tooth. Weird! Good luck with your teeth and your kids!
Carolanne my niece who is almost 17 is missing one of her adult teeth, she just lost her last baby tooth if you can believe that and has to do something about that no adult tooth thing.
