Well we have almost been home from our trip to Oahu for about 5 days now. The jet lag is finally starting to wear off, that took awhile. But the memories are still so fresh in our minds, we had such a great time. I will admit that is sounds crazy to take a family of 7 to Hawaii, especially when they are so young. But my kids have been missing there cousins like crazy and I could not bare to think about leaving anyone behind. (Thanks to Mema for helping to make that happen!)
I just saw these two in May, but already they have changed so much. It was fun to watch them have a great time with my kids and to there personalities in action.
Wow we did so many things while we were there, I'm not sure where to start.
Here is a glimpse of why we didn't want to leave:
Our first night we headed to the north shore to watch the sunset at Sunset Beach.
The next day we ventured over to the beautiful Haunama Bay for some snorkeling fun. We were pleased to find out that they did actually have some sz 16 fins for Bry. The guy working at the rental counter said he had never personally rented them anyone before. I think Emery was the only kid that sucessfully snorkeled and actually saw some cool fish. The others just played in the water and the sand. Ang and I went in the water for awhile and kept having laughing attacks. This is not the time or place to have the giggles let me tell you. We had so much salt water in our noses and mouths. I'm not even sure why were cracking up so much, I know one time it was because I didn't realize I swimming along with some large man next me, I thought it was Ang. I could have snorkeled for hours, but of course the others on the beach would be bored and probably burnt, so we headed off to the next stop....the Blow Hole.
We hiked down this little hill to get a closer look at a sea turtle that was being tossed around close to the shore by the strong current.

to be continued...
