Since the puppies were born it was hard to find time to get away from the house for any extended day trips at all. But finally we were able to make time on a Saturday to go to Salt Lake for the day. Mom was especially interested in going to the Family History Library while we were there. So that was our first stop, and it was pretty cool. We were able to look up some of her family and actually find some family names. It was pretty exciting and we even went home and continued to look up more names.
We took sometime to tour the Beehive House before dinner. This was the house that use to belong to Brigham Young and his family. Afterwards we headed to the Joseph Smith Memorial building to check out the view on the top floor.
After our dinner at the mall we headed back to Temple square to check out the beautiful Christmas lights. It was gorgeous, I'm so glad we were able to make it to see this. It wasn't even too cold out which was an added plus.
