Don't recommend this...

Signs of spring are showing up all around us right now and it is so tempting to take the kids out into a lovely orchard and take some nice pictures.

Well this was my thought and has been for a few weeks. The mustard flowers are so bright and pretty, and the blossoms are just so cute.

So the other day I decided I'm just going to give this photo shoot a try.....well I am not sure I recommend and here are some examples:

Ok so this is the first of many, many shots. Not bad right everyone is looking, even Brody is actually cute with his arm on Emery's shoulder. The only problem is, I had the flash on and the camera was set in the wrong settings. This is my fault, I take all the blame for this and the sad thing is, this really is one of the ONLY pictures where they are all looking!!
The following are not my fault...

Landry was really enjoying Cambree's hair.

Cambree is mad in this picture because I asked her to let Brody sit down in the chair instead of her. Oh the sadness.

I quickly scrapped the group shots and started to focus on individuals. This guy just wanted to crawl through the dirt! So I thought ok, maybe I should have a sister help him out.

So next time I will make sure to have some help, and most likely not be the one behind the camera. Here are a few that made me feel a little better about the whole challenge. The good news is I still think the orchards are beautiful, but I think my children are even more beautiful than them.

Wow! These pictures are gorgeous!!! And I bet over time you will realize it WAS an awesome idea after all! Spring trees and fields -two of my favorite things! How perfect to do use it as a backdrop! But, now you really got me missing California! Still snowy and cold here- no green fields or flowering trees to sing popcorn popping to, yet!

Take care!

I have been thinkin' the same thing...I want to take pics in the orchards...the colors are great! It's okay that the kids aren't looking, they are still adorable! Good job.

totally awesome well worth the effort! The doing the photos isn't the hard part for me, it's the getting them all nice looking and trying to keep them clean before we get a single picture taken. The though if that is enough to make me just want to crawl into a hole.

I think the pics turned out fabulous! Especially the one of the girls! Gotta love the orchards- I wish we had some closer to us.
I can't believe how grown up the girls are looking!!!

Great photos! I like the faded blurred look around the edges of some of your pictures. How did you do that?
